Countdown to the Euro's 2024
A total of 24 nations will be taking part having qualified through the group stages as group winner, runner-up or play-off winners. The tournament starts on June 14th in Munich, culminating in the Final being played on July 14th in Berlin.

Allianz Arena
The Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany is the home of FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munich. The stadium was opened in 2005 at the cost of 340m Euros and boasts a seating capacity of over 75,000 for domestic matches and 70,000 for international matches. It has a unique exterior lighting system that can match the colours to the home team playing. The stadium was previously used to host UEFA Champions League finals and 2006 FIFA World Cup matches.
Olympiastadion Berlin
The Olympiastadion Berlin was originally built for the 1936 Summer Olympics in Germany. It showcases impressive architecture with a capacity of over 74,000. Over the years it has been renovated and has evolved into a multi-purpose venue, hosting sports events including the 2006 FIFA World Cup Final, Concerts, and Cultural Gatherings. Beyond its sporting significance, it’s a tourist attraction offering guided tours for visitors interested in its history and architectural beauty. remaining a central fixture in Berlin’s cultural and sporting scene.
RheinEnergieStadion
The RheinEnergieStadion is located in Cologne and is the spiritual home of the Bundesliga team FC Köln. The stadium was originally built in 1975 but was reconstructed in time for the FIFA World Cup in 2006. The rectangular form of the stadium, with its four steel towers, has become one of the symbols of the city. It hosts a crowd of 50,000 for domestic matches and 46,195 for European matches, with no standing allocation permitted.
Signal Iduna Park
Signal Iduna Park is Germany’s largest football stadium located in Dortmund with a capacity crowd of 81,365 it is home of the Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund. Renovations, including a glass façade and undersoil heating, made it Europe’s most comfortable stadium. Continual upgrades, like new scoreboards and VIP boxes, maintain its allure. Renowned as “the temple” by fans and lauded as “the most beautiful stadium in the country” by professionals. It also hosted matches during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Merkur Spiel-Arena
The Merkur Spiel-Arena, formerly known as LTU Arena and ESPRIT Arena, is a multipurpose stadium in Düsseldorf, Germany. It is home to Fortuna Düsseldorf and holds seating capacity of 54,600 for football matches, expandable to 66,500 for pop concerts. Built between 2002 and 2004, it offers modern amenities such as VIP lounges and corporate suites. The stadium has hosted events like the 2006 FIFA World Cup matches and concerts by artists like Madonna and Coldplay. Renamed in 2018 due to a sponsorship deal with Merkur Bank, the arena’s central location and versatile design make it a popular choice for sports, concerts, and corporate functions in the region.
Deutsche Bank Park
The Deutsche Bank Park, formerly know as Frankfurt Arena, originated as a military shooting range and evolved into a multifaceted sports complex. It now holds a capacity crowd of 51,500 seats and is home to Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt and features the acclaimed Eintracht Frankfurt Museum. The park’s versatility extends beyond sports, hosting concerts and other events, enhancing its cultural significance.
Veltins-Arena
The Veltins-Arena in Schalke is home to the Bundesliga football team FC Schalke 04, but it is also a versatile hub for entertainment and sports. Since 2001, it has hosted a diverse range of events, from football matches to concerts and cultural performances. Recognized by FIFA and UEFA for its excellence, the stadium boasts cutting-edge technology such as retractable roofs and advanced sound systems. Its hospitality offerings, including corporate boxes and premium lounges, ensure a top-notch experience for visitors. Red Bull Arena
The Red Bull Arena in Leipzig is home to Bundesliga football club RB Leipzig. The stadium was renovated in 2004 and has recently been extended again to include standing areas for domestic matches taking the capacity to over 47,000 reduced down to 41,122 for international matches seated events only. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and state-of-the-art amenities, the stadium stands as a testament to Leipzig’s rich footballing culture and the fervent support of its loyal fanbase. It was also selected by Germany as a host venue for the FIFA World Cup 2006.
Volksparkstadion
The Volksparkstadion is located in Hamburg and is home to Hamburger SV, one of the country’s oldest and most traditional football clubs. It has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years to meet modern standards and accommodate larger crowds the current capacity is 57,000 spectators for domestic matches and 51,500 spectators for international matches. The design of the stadium underwent a significant transformation for the 2006 FIFA World Cup it has also hosted pop and rock concerts for the likes of The Rolling Stones, U2 and Madonna. It now boasts modern amenities, improved facilities, and enhanced spectator comfort.
